On Friday, March 6, Francis Magalona, the master rapper and the young son of the celebrity couple of the 40's Pancho Magalona and Tita Duran succumbed to cancer.
His last entry in his blog on January 14 showed optimism that he can conquer the disease.

He was survived by his wife, Pia and eight children; Unnah Sarah, Nicolo, Frank, Saab, Elmo, Arkin, Clara and Maxene.
His daughters Maxene and Saab are also in the showbiz.
His paternal grandfather was Senator Enrique Magalona. He had eight siblings.
He founded his own record company called Red Egg Records, a clothing line called FMCC (FrancisM Clothing Co.), as well as his own production company called Filipino Pictures Inc. wherein he is the resident Director and has made music videos for several bands and solo artists. His work on Sponge Cola's "KLSP" won Best Rock Video at the 2006 MYX Video Awards. Other music videos directed by Francis Magalona are for artists such as, Ely Buendia.
