Actress-comedienne Ai-Ai delas Alas was rushed to a hospital in Quezon City after she complained of stomach pain.
In a phone interview on her morning show "Ruffa & Ai," delas Alas told co-host Ruffa Gutierrez that she is confined to the Far Eastern University Hospital.
"May lagnat ako and 'yong dati kong sakit sa tiyan and stress," she said.
Delas Alas said her doctors are closely monitoring her food intake.
"Hindi masyadong pwedeng (kumain). Pero 'yong fruits, pwede, huwag lang masyadong acidic," she said.
The actress-host just came back from her trip abroad. She said she believes that the raw foods she ate in Japan might have triggered her stomach ache.
"Actually sa Japan may sakit na ako tapos pagbalik ko dito mayroon na. Pumasok ako kahapon kasi parang okay ako pero hindi naman pala," delas Alas said.
Charlene Gonzales is temporarily replacing delas Alas on “Ruffa and Ai.”
"Natutuwa naman ako kasi kasing ganda ko 'yong pinalit sa akin," she said in jest.
"Ang Tanging Ina" star said that by Thursday she might return to work.
Meanwhile, Gonzales said she is thrilled to be a guest host of the morning show.
"Masaya ako kasi nandito na naman ako sa ABS-CBN. Alam mo kahit sa guesting lang ay nandito pa din ako at todo pa din ang aking suporta sa aking Kapamilya. Masayang masaya ako," Gonzales said.
