Actor Cesar Montano has denied that his marriage with Sunshine Cruz is on the rocks. Is this a publicity stunt or what?

Here is the excerpt of the news:

“Kami ni Sunshine, getting stronger and stronger by the day,” Cesar said on “Showbiz News Ngayon” recently. The two have been seen together in various events, including at a relief good drive.
Cesar said he has plans to have a fourth baby with his beautiful wife.
“Ako, opo, araw-araw, may balak.. ‘Yung asawa ko lang ang walang araw-araw na balak. Pinagbabalakan ko siya palagi…baby boy, yes!” he said in jest.
However, Sunshine gave vague answers to questions about her relationship with Cesar.
“I don’t want to say anything. Kung ano lang ang nakikita n’yo, it’s better na kayo na lang ang makakita,” she said.
She is clueless if her husband is planning to renew their wedding vows in a ceremony.

Ruffa cried because of annulment or because of closing of show?

Ruffa Gutierrez who is not very good in truth department denied that she shed tears because of the cancellation of her daily morning show. She cited the annullment of her marriage to Yilmaz as the reason.

Here is the news:

One of the most glamorous and beautiful women in the local entertainment scene, Ruffa Gutierrez couldn’t help but cry on live TV during the last taping day of her daily morning show with Comedy Concert Queen Ai Ai delas Alas called “Ruffa and Ai.”

The tears fell not because she became jobless. She cried because she imagined how it would feel when she receives her annulment papers and is finally freed from her marriage in a few months time. Soul Siren Nina’s performance during their last episode reduced her even more to tears, according to Ruffa.

“I became sentimental because Nina was singing. And I cried because I told myself that it doesn’t mean that when you’re annulled you failed. Maybe it is a failure in a sense but annulment happens for different reasons,” sighed the actress at the set of her new film under Regal Films entitled “Ukay Ukay” which is part of the horror trilogy in “Shake rattle and Roll XI.”

What helped in conjuring the image of being annulled are the stories she heard from showbiz colleagues who recently gut annulled from their marriage.

Famas Awardees for the 57th Famas Awards 2009

Heart Evangelista won over her co-nominees  as Best Actress for the 57th FAMAS`Award given in October 18th,

Other nominees were:
Sharon Cuneta, Caregiver; Anne Curtis for Baler; Dawn Zulueta for Magkaibigan; Judy Ann Santos for Ploning and Melissa Mendez for Kalakal.

Here is the complete report on the winners:

Actress Heart Evangelista edged out Megastar Sharon Cuneta in winning the Best Actress trophy at the 57th Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Gabi ng Parangal ceremonies held at PAGCOR Grand Theatre on Oct. 18.
Evangelista won for her role as a teacher in a remote school in the Mountain Province in the digital film, “Ay, Ayeng.” Her triumph in the category is a sort of vindication for the film since it was virtually snubbed by the Manila audience when it was shown here, despite it being screened in Hawaii and Berlin.
Still, the victory came as a surprise to some, considering that “Caregiver” not only received critical acclaim but commercial success. Plus, “Caregiver” was one of 2008’s most-awaited films because it served as Cuneta’s comeback vehicle after four years of absence from the big screen.
The other nominees in the FAMAS Best Actress category this year were Anne Curtis (for “Baler”), Dawn Zulueta (“Magkaibigan”), Judy Ann Santos (“Ploning”) and Melissa Mendez (“Kalakal”).
Likewise, Allen Dizon romped away with the FAMAS Best Actor trophy by putting one over the more popular actors Aga Muhlach, Jericho Rosales and Richard Gutierrez in his category. Dizon did so by playing the role of a pimp in his self-produced film, “Paupahan.”
When released, the film got a Grade "B" from the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB) and was classified as “R-13 without cuts” by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) of the Philippines.
It can be recalled that Dizon bankrolled “Paupahan” while he was undergoing a financial crisis due to his then-floundering car trading business.
Master Showman German Moreno stood tall in the company of Emilio Garcia, John Manalo, Philip Salvador, Bojong Fernandez and Eddie Gutierrez in the Best Supporting Actor category for playing a serious gay role in “Paupahan.”
Although already a legendary TV host and talent discoverer, German’s last big role prior to “Paupahan” was in the 1996 Metro Manila Film Festival entry, “Payaso.”
Further, Moreno’s nomination for “Paupahan” was only his second time in his decades-long career. The first was in 1968 for the movie “Artista Ang Aking Asawa” which starred Philippine King of Comedy Dolphy.
The Best Supporting Actress trophy went to Snooky Serna, again, for “Paupahan.” It was another win for the actress for the same role and movie following the one at the 25th Star Awards for Movies.
The FAMAS Best Picture award was bestowed on the film, “Baler,” which was inspired by the siege of the town of Baler by Filipino revolutionaries in the 1800s. The film, a Metro Manila Film Festival entry in 2008, starred Anne Curtis and Jericho Rosales.
The 57th FAMAS Presidential Award was given to film director Carlo J. Caparas and his wife, film producer Donna Villa.
Other winners of special awards that night were Vilma Santos (“Circle of Excellence Award”); Bong Revilla (“Fernando Poe Jr Memorial Award”); Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, Kris Bernal and Aljur Abrenica (“German Moreno Achievement Award”); Sarah Geronimo (“Golden Artist Award”) and Roland Dantes (“Posthumous Award”).

Rosanna Roces interview about the Revillas was censored

Rosanna Roces who does not hide her contempt for the Revilla Family spewed libelous statements against Senator Bong Revilla, his wife Lani nd his son Jolo Revilla.

This is the news:

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB ) disapproved the airing of Rosanna “Osang” Roces's taped interview on “Juicy,” a showbiz-oriented talk show aired on TV5.
The interview which was supposed to have aired on Oct. 12, was not given the ‘go’ signal by the MTRCB because of the alleged "libelous" statements made by Rosanna against Sen. Bong Revilla, his wife Lani Mercado and their son, Jolo Revilla.
A source told Manila Bulletin Entertainment Online that Osang's catty remarks were deemed by the ratings board as "not fit for viewing".
In the interview, Rosanna was said to have spewed venom on the three Revilla's and hissed at them like she never did before.
The management and staff of “Juicy” have anticipated the disapproval and had, in fact, readied  other segments to replace the controversial taped interview.
Rosanna Roces has been openly speaking about her ill feelings toward the Revillas, going as far as calling them names on her Facebook account. Her tirades began shortly after Jolo "borrowed" his son Gabriel from Rosanna's daughter, Grace Adriano, without Osang’s consent.
The issue got so out of hand, that even Jolo's rumored girlfriend, Lovi Poe, was dragged into the hullabaloo. Osang reportedly threatened to drag and pull Lovi's hair if and when she sees her. The two were then working together on “Lipgloss,” a weekly teen show on TV 5.
Lovi refused to comment on her rumored rift with the former sexy actress. Lani Mercado also dismissed the issue as nondescript.

Sunshine no longer shines as she was replaced by Nadia Samonte

News was she was eased out due to the problems she was causing the producter of Tinik sa Dibdib. According to the mother, it was health issue but not necessarily pregnancy problem which she said hounded her daughter ever since.

Here is the news:

Actress Nadine Samonte will replace Sunshine Dizon in “Tinik Sa Dibdib” after the latter backed out from the afternoon TV soap which premiered recently.
Sunshine had already appeared in a few “Tinik” episodes since it began airing Sept. 28. Her role, once essayed by Superstar Nora Aunor, is that of a long suffering daughter who tries to please her abusive family.
Nadine, who will arrive from her short vacation in Germany on Oct. 17, has already been told about her replacing Sunshine, says a source to Manila Bulletin Entertainment Online.
With this development, Nadine will now have two shows [the other is “Darna”] on GMA-7.
The decision to replace Sunshine came about after the actress and her mother Dorothy Laforteza talked to GMA-7 executives. In a closed-door meeting, the mother and daughter reportedly told the network bosses that Sunshine could no longer fulfill her duties for the show.
Sunshine was reportedly complaining of long work hours while doing “Tinik Sa Dibdib.” She told a reporter that working for 20 hours per taping day is too tedious a task for her.
A source also told Manila Bulletin Entertainment Online that Sunshine denied accusations that she's in that interesting stage now, the reason why she wants to go on vacation in the U.S.

No, I'm not [pregnant], she reportedly said.
The actress was wheeled off to and spent a day at a hospital recently after suffering from a severe migraine attack.
Coincidentally, Sunshine also backed out from the fifth edition of “Starstruck” which will begin airing next month. The actress was supposed to sit as a juror in the reality-based artista search.

Tit for tat: Ruffa, Willie squeal on each other
By ALEX VALENTIN BROSAS
October 3, 2009, 8:03pm
TV host-actress Ruffa Gutierrez may have just let the cat out of the bag on rumors linking TV host-comedian Willie Revillame to dramatic actress Lorna Tolentino.
In her guesting in “Wowowee” on Oct. 3, Ruffa chided Willie for courting so many girls. She revealed that “The Buzz” co-host Kris Aquino told her so.
Ruffa then inadvertently squealed that Willie was sending Lorna flowers and food.
Caught off guard, Willie yacked back, saying that she (Ruffa) once dated John Lloyd Cruz using his (Willie’s) yacht.
"O, 'di ba, nanghiram sa akin si Meryll (Soriano) ng yate ko. Then sabi ni Tita Annabelle (Rama, Ruffa’s mother), 'Dong, nasaan ang yate mo noong Sabado?’ Pumunta yata kayo ng Corregidor noon, eh…" Willie said.
"Hoy, grabe ka! Kasama ko si Meagan Young noon. Meagan, halika nga rito," Ruffa protested and as if asking her “Betty La Fea” co-star to defend her.
Turning serious, Willie explained that he’s in the process of searching for love.
"Siyempre, hinahanap ko, eh. Gano'n naman, hinahanap mo kung sino ang gusto mong makasama sa buhay. Ikaw naman din (ay) ganoon, 'di ba?" Willie said.
"Hindi, ayoko na. Okay na akong ganito ako," Ruffa retorted in seeming resignation.
"Kung sakaling nanood si John Lloyd, ano ang gusto mong sabihin?" Willie teased Ruffa.
"Ikaw grabe ka, patay na nga (ang issue), 'no!" Ruffa squeaked, feigning embarrassment.
She then rejoined, “Tita Malou is watching, Tita Cory is watching—‘Hello!’" in what seemed to be a feeble attempt to evade the issue involving her and John Lloyd.
Ruffa proceeded to give Willie her advice.
"Ang kailangan mong ligawan, si Tita Lolit Solis..... para maging boto sa iyo. Bigyan mo lagi ng cash."
To which Willie quickly rebutted: "Hindi totoo 'yon. Tita Lorna, oh. Ha! Ha! Ha! 'Wag n'yo akong gamitin sa ganyan, ha? Para mapag-usapan."
"Really? Old news na 'yon, ito ang mas fresh---" Ruffa started.

"---totoo 'yon, pumunta kayo sa hotel na doon ako nag-stay, Beverly sa Peninsula. Sabi ng mga Filipino staff....." Willie butted in, not wanting to give Ruffa the chance to drop the bomb.
"Alam mo, sabihin ko na 'yong talent ko. But you know, meron akong mild bronchitis, eh, kaya kailangang may proxy ako. Kaya tatawagin ko sina Lorin at si Venice---" Ruffa continued, scandalized but still seemingly enjoying the moment.
"---eto, may kakausap sa iyo," Willie cut in.
"Rofa, Rofa," Pokwang comes on cam while impersonating Annabelle.
"O, mommy, ano'ng balita," asked Ruffa, riding on the joke.
"Totoo naman talaga ang sinabi ni Willie. Nagpunta kayo ng Corregidor, sinama n'yo ako, tapos, 'Day, hindi n'yo na ako binalikan doon,” continued Pokwang in her Annabelle accent.
"At saka 'yong mga binibigay ni Willie na bulaklak, hindi para sa iyo 'yon, para sa akin 'iyon. Bumibili siya ang alahas, may nililigawan siya….
"Ano ang masasabi n'yo, tanggap n'yo na ba siya?" Willie asked Pokwang as Annabelle.
"Alam mo Willie, okay naman sa akin ang lovelife ni Rofa."
"Wala nga akong love life, 'no!" Ruffa insisted then hastily changed the topic.
Ruffa was one of the “Wowowee” celebrity contestants that day. She competed with fellow beauty queen Maggie Wilson in the Willie of Fortune segment. The other contestants then were Paw Diaz, Melissa Ricks.
For a few months now, Willie has been rumored to be courting Lorna. A tab report said that the actress just shrugged off the issue between her and the TV host when she was asked about it.

Gimmick o Totoo

Gutierrez, a close friend and Reyes' co-star in an upcoming movie, heard of her plight, borrowed an army speedboat and went to the rescue.
''We couldn't go fast because of the strong currents and floating cars,'' Gutierrez told GMA TV Network on Monday.
Reaching Reyes' house, he struggled to tie the boat to a tree amid the churning waters, climbed into her house and eventually whisked her to safety.

Ohoy.
