MANILA, Philippines – TV host-actress Ruffa Gutierrez defended her mother and manager Annabelle Rama against Nadia Montenegro’s accusation that the former committed child abuse.
Speaking live on “Paparazzi Showbiz Exposed” on Oct. 2, Ruffa declared, “You can call my mom rude, bastos, maingay, but she's definitely not a child abuser."
"We will not tolerate any kind of abuse, especially me being a victim once, and now a survivor of abuse,” she added, pertaining to the alleged abuse she suffered in the hands of her estranged husband, Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas.
Nadia—whose daughters Anykka Asistio, 15, and Alyana Asistio, 17, are under Annabelle’s Royale Era Entertainment & Artist Management company—sued the Gutierrez matriarch for child abuse and oral defamation last Sept. 30 at the Quezon City Prosecutors Office, as reported on “Showbiz Central” on Sunday.
