Unknown to many, basketball star James Yap is bent on finishing his Business Management course at the University of the East.
Kris Aquino’s ex-husband is doing so for his son Baby James.
Veronica Elizalde, Dean of Business Administration of UE, shared on “Showbiz Central,” Aug. 29 episode, James’ decision to finish his course.
“Right now he is enrolled at the college of Business Administration and he is continuing his Business Management course. I’m proud of him because despite his hectic schedule he still finds time to go back to school to do his assignment. Kahit irregular student. With this, we hope that he’d be able to finish his studies,” Elizalde said.
Boycie Zamar, coach of UE Red Warriors, said James is an obedient student.
“Naalala ko one time ‘yung teacher niya lumapit sa akin. Sabi niya sa akin, ‘pag hindi sumipot si James o hindi siya pumasok sa klase, ida-drop niya or whatever. Sabi ko kay James, ‘Kung gusto mo maglaro nito, kailangan ka pumasok.’ Sumusunod naman siya,” Zamar recalled.
“I think he realizes this and he came back to UE to finish his course and I’m very happy. ‘Yung pag-aaral at saka degree nobody can take that away from you,” he added.
