Ruffa Gutierrez's alleged suicide a hoax, says pal
"Of course not!"
This was columnist Jun Lalin's exasperated response to text messages claiming that Ruffa Gutierrez has committed suicide because of her marital problems with estranged Turkish husband, Yilmaz Bektas.
According to Jun, who is also a close friend of Ruffa, he received a phone call from a staff of Studio 23's Wazzup Wazzup inquiring about the reported text message.
Ruffa is currently in the US to take a break from all the strain caused by her much publicized separation from Yilmaz.
"Kao-overseas call pa lang kaya ni Ruffa sa amin kaya paanong magiging totoo ang text message na ‘yon?" he points out in his Abante Tonite column today.
"I doubt if Ruffa will even think of committing suicide despite her marital situation right now," adds Jun.
In fact, Jun shares that Ruffa is doing well in the States and has a lot of fun stories to share, especially about her children, Lorîn and Venice.
