Kris claimed settlemet is fair because she worked for it

I can not understand if she was saying that hey, I worked for this money so it is just fair that the James receives 48 million.

The logic in her statement is confusing. Anyway, the lawyer in the Kapunan law office reminded both parties of the gag order the judge issued for the issue of settlement. James Yap is quiet. What about Kris camp?

The lawyer also denied that the amount is 48 million pesos.

Kris says settlement is ‘fair’

MANILA, Philippines - Queen-of-all-media Kris Aquino refused to divulge details of the settlement agreement that she had with her estranged husband, cager James Yap, concerning their wealth.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, Aquino said she cannot talk about how their wealth would be divided between them because she does not want to be reprimanded by the judge.
Aquino and Yap did not have a pre-nuptial agreement before they tied the knot.
Although their marriage did not have a happy ending, Aquino still came to the defense of Yap.
“Alam niyo, wag niyo naman siyang maliitin kasi MVP din naman siya. Malaki din ang kita niya,” she said.
According to Aquino, what matters now is that they had an amicable separation.
“Kung ano man ang naging settlement namin, it was fair. I don’t think he was greedy. It was something na pinagtrabahuhan ko rin naman pero marami naman blessings na dumating din. Sinasabi ko na rin na because of that marriage, I have the biggest blessing because of Bimby,” she said, referring to her only son with the basketball player.
Aquino stressed she does not want to rush the procedures for the nullification of their marriage.
“It’s not like I’m going to get married tomorrow. It’s not like there’s anybody in the horizon. Tanggap ko na, noh,” she said.
Yap’s camp also did not divulge the contents of the agreement.
In a text message, lawyer Sonya Benemerito-Castillo denied rumors Yap received P48 million from the agreement. Benemerito-Castillo is part of the Kapunan, Garcia and Castillo Law Offices, which represents Yap.
“The gag order issued by the Court prevents us from speaking about all matters pertaining to the case. However, in view of the malicious rumors circulating, we are constrained to set the records straight," she said.
“The issue on property settlement has long been settled, when the parties amicably and voluntarily entered into an Agreement early this year. Suffice it to state that the terms were fair to both parties concerned. We hope that this clarifies the false and baseless accusations against Mr. Yap,” she added.
