Dolphy and ZsaZsa are now happy because the MTRCB headed by Grace Poe-Llamanzares gave it a rating of General Patronage after the cotroversial scenes were deleted.
MANILA, Philippines - Following the voluntary removal of its controversial scenes, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) gave “Father Jejemon” a General Patronage rating in its second review.
The review, held on Dec. 22, was attended by priests from several church groups, who deliberated on the merits of Dolphy’s movie after various sects condemned some scenes as objectionable and disrespectful to the Catholic faith.
As “TV Patrol” reported on Wednesday, among those who participated in the review were Father Nick Cruz of MTRCB, Father Larry Faraon, OP, the consultant for the movie, and even healing priest Fernando Suarez, who was part of the sect that called on to boycott “Father Jejemon.”
Zsa Zsa Padilla, Dolphy’s long-time partner who’s also a co-producer for “Father Jejemon,” related to “Showbiz News Ngayon” on Wednesday how happy Dolphy was with the outcome of the review.
