Unang nabalita na isang milyon daw ang allowance ng pamilya ni Genelyn at ang mga anak nito. Lumalabas na Php 260,000 lqng pala.
MANILA, Philippines - “I don’t think na napapabayaan siya. That’s not true. ‘Wag natin ibahin ang usapan. Siguro harapin natin ang tunay na problema ng bayan.”
That’s senator Bong Revilla’s counter statement to Genelyn Magsaysay’s recent Facebook post in which she said Ramon Revilla, Sr. was remiss in sending them "support."
On Nov. 10, “TV Patrol” showed some messages posted by Magsaysay on her Facebook account. It read: “I need to work ASAP so I can have my own. I don’t like to hear them saying I’m a parasite. Before I met him I’m working already, now they’re telling me I am a parasite when the allowance that you are giving is not enough for monthly consumption.”
Another post read, “They are pushing us to the limit, I’m trying to cope, my children are the ones holding our allowance, I’m always the one making abono, they cut off our allowance but they are the ones living luxurious living.”
Atty. Jeffrey Zarate, senator Bong Revilla’s lawyer, stressed that “walang problema sa sustento.”
“Sila ni Genelyn at ang mga bata are generously provided [for] by former senator Ramon Revilla, Sr.”
“Ayon sa manager ni senator Bong na si Lolit Solis, sa takdang panahon handa nilang ilabas ang lahat ng dokumentasyon hinggil sa regular allowance sa pamilya ni Genelyn Magsaysay mula 2008 at bago pa dito,” Mario Dumaual reported, adding that Magsaysay and her children receive a monthly allowance of P260,000.
On top of that, “may P50,000 pa umano na revolving funds sa iba pang pangangailangan gaya ng paglilingkod-bayan ni Ram sa Cavite.”
Atty. Zarate stressed that the senator “respects the rule of law and the definitely the process that we have. Should this matter be relevant, I’m sure the senator will cooperate.”
Dumaual reported that Ramgen Bautista handled the family’s allowance as “masinop daw sa accounting ng pera si Ram at nitong huli ipinagkatiwala na sa kanya ang pagtanggap ng pera. Bukod pa nito sa tuition ng magkakapatid, kabilang ang suspect na si Ram Joseph na pinag-aaral sa isang eklusibong kolehiyo sa Taguig.”
For Lolit, “Hindi dapat pag-awayan ang pera dahil hinati-hati na ni Don Ramon ang kanyang daan-daang milyong ari-arian sa magkakapatid, kabilang na rito ang real estate na kinatatayuan ng dalawang mall sa Cavite, isang sabungan, dalawang sementeryo at iba pang real estate properties.”
The feisty talent manager also revealed that the BF Homes property was under the name of Genelyn and “tulad ng ibang babaeng naugnay sa aktor, binigyan din siya noon ng Hari ng Agimat ng puhunan sa negosyo.”
“Noong 2004, prinodyus ang launching movie ni Ram na ‘Anak Ka Ng Tatay Mo,’ pero hindi ito pinalad sa takilya,” Dumaual reported.
The “TV Patrol” report stated that “sinagot ng senador ang pagpapagamot at paglagay ng aluminum brace kay Janelle Manahan na ayon kay Lolit ay umabot ng P200,000.”
“Sa gitna ng pagtugis kay Ramona at paglitis kay Ram Joseph, pinaalala ng abogado ni Bong na wala itong kinakampihan,” the report noted.
“He’s a senator of this republic and not a senator of his family,” Atty. Zarate said.
One of senator Revilla’s siblings assured that “tuloy ang pagsustento sa pamilya ni Genelyn sa kabila ng trahedya pero kailangan para piliin kung sino ang dapat nilang pagkatiwalaan sa pera.”
