Here is the news:
Actress Nadine Samonte will replace Sunshine Dizon in “Tinik Sa Dibdib” after the latter backed out from the afternoon TV soap which premiered recently.
Sunshine had already appeared in a few “Tinik” episodes since it began airing Sept. 28. Her role, once essayed by Superstar Nora Aunor, is that of a long suffering daughter who tries to please her abusive family.
Nadine, who will arrive from her short vacation in Germany on Oct. 17, has already been told about her replacing Sunshine, says a source to Manila Bulletin Entertainment Online.
With this development, Nadine will now have two shows [the other is “Darna”] on GMA-7.
The decision to replace Sunshine came about after the actress and her mother Dorothy Laforteza talked to GMA-7 executives. In a closed-door meeting, the mother and daughter reportedly told the network bosses that Sunshine could no longer fulfill her duties for the show.
Sunshine was reportedly complaining of long work hours while doing “Tinik Sa Dibdib.” She told a reporter that working for 20 hours per taping day is too tedious a task for her.
A source also told Manila Bulletin Entertainment Online that Sunshine denied accusations that she's in that interesting stage now, the reason why she wants to go on vacation in the U.S.
No, I'm not [pregnant], she reportedly said.
The actress was wheeled off to and spent a day at a hospital recently after suffering from a severe migraine attack.
Coincidentally, Sunshine also backed out from the fifth edition of “Starstruck” which will begin airing next month. The actress was supposed to sit as a juror in the reality-based artista search.
