SHARON CUNETA AND HER MEGATHIRTY CONCERT

sharon cuneta

WOW, THIS IS ONE CONCERT THAT IS WORTH WATCHING.

Sharon Cuneta is going to celebrate her 30 years in showbiz with a bang.

Excerpts from ABS-CBN.

Megastar Sharon Cuneta celebrates her 30 years in showbiz with a very memorable anniversary concert entitled Megathirty at the Araneta Coliseum on August 8, 8pm. The singer/host/actress promises a night of music that spans three decades of love and inspiration. Sharon was very nostalgic during her press conference for the concert, recalling the ups and downs of her thirty year showbiz career. She mentioned briefly the passing away of one of her closest friends in the business, Mina Aragon, the late wife of Viva Films exec Vic Del Rosario. She also said that she regrets not being able to work with one of the country’s top directors, Ishmael Bernal, before he passed away.

I think it was Mina Aragon who gave her the break.

And of course Sharon also revealed that she was very affected with the death of her father, Pablo Cuneta. "I was at the lowest point in my life when my father died." What was surprising though was the fact that she barely spoke of her failed first marriage to actor Gabby Concepcion.
IMHO, it is not wothmentioning. It will just create publicity for the person who broke her heart.

However, Sharon says she doesn’t dwell over the sad things in her life and would rather focus on the happy moments. Her status as a Megastar, having three beautiful daughters, her 28 years of making albums and 30 years in the movies – there’s nothing more she can ask for. "Ang kapal naman ng mukha ko kung magrereklamo pa ako," she said with a laugh.

And even though she wants to slow down, she still has a lot of things to accomplish in the next couple of years. "Next year I still have to do a movie with Ate Vi, the Star for All Seasons and the Governor of Batangas. I have another project with Aga Muhlach. And of course I still want to work with Robin Padilla. He makes you feel like a princess on the set." She has that intention to retire she admits. The question is when. "Probably He wants me still here for a higher purpose." Sharon reveals. She however is firm in saying that she will never get involved in politics.
I like their love team.
