RUDY FERNANDEZ ' BRAVE BATTLE OF CANCER

It was in 2004 when the malignant tumor was discovered by the doctor. He underwent an operation to reomove his gall-bladder, bile duct and part of his pancreas.

They thought that he had won the battle.

In 2006, the cancer returned in advanced stage.

January 2008- Rudy rejected the third protocol chemotherapy.

April 2008- they left for the United States for a third cycle of Rexin-G, the “tumor-targeted injectable gene therapy vector.”

In the first two Rexin-G cycles, Rudy felt better.

Rudy was enrolled in clinical trials at the Sarcoma Oncology Center in Santa Monica, California. “

The first three cycles are a test. If all goes well, they can give Rudy six to eight cycles.”

June 1- Rudy asked to be brought home. Lorna Tolentino said that she had surrendered her husband to God.

June 4, Rudy had a seizure but herefused to be brought back to the hospital.

june 7- He died at 6:15 at age 56.
