Two more Charges for Maricel Soriano

Lalong lumalala ang problema ni Maricel Soriano dahil sa pag-iwas niya sa pagharap ng kasong isinampa ng dati niyang mga katulong. Dalawa pang kaso, kidnapping at serious legal detention ang idinagdag sa mga charges sa kaniya.

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Maricel Soriano did not show up for the clarificatory hearing scheduled on Oct. 3 at the Makati Prosecutor’s Office as regards the charges filed against her by her former household helps.
May Cachuela and Camille Acojedo, who filed cases of grave threats, unjust vexation, slander oral defamation and physical injuries against Soriano; as well as their legal counsel Tolie Estrellae were present at the hearing.
Estrella explained the importance of clarificatory meeting in the case.
“Kasi ang clarificatory meeting, it’s the last resort of the investigating prosecutor to dispel all doubts in his mind. It’s also the last resort for the respondent to clear things up regarding the matter,” Estrella shared on “Showbiz Central,” Oct. 9.
“They’re no-show for today,” the legal counsel noted. “We were informed last week that the counsel for the respondent stated, according to our text message, they were not informed daw pero today, this morning, I saw them at the lobby.”
The complainants added two more cases against the actress: kidnapping and serious illegal detention.
Estrella explained that they have to file the additional lawsuits against Soriano.

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Maricel Soriano was still a no-show during the hearing of physical abuse charges filed by two former house help at the Makati Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday.
The complainants, together with members of the media, were made to wait for more than three hours but the veteran actress did not arrive for the scheduled hearing.
The complainants, Mae Cachuela and Camille Acojedo, arrived at the office of Fiscal Paulo Talban together with their lawyer Tolie Estrella at 9 a.m.
Estrella said that he saw Soriano’s lawyer Raquel Taguien arrive at the prosecutor’s office but was surprised that her client was not with her. He added that Soriano may have refused to attend the hearing because many reporters were waiting for her.

Maricel Soriano lefr for Europe?

Maricel Soriano who has been in so many controversies lately was reported to have flown out of the country after failing to appear in a hearing about her case wuth her two maids.

MANILA, Philippines - Diamond Star Maricel Soriano has reportedly left for Europe after her 2 household helpers alleged that she physically and verbally abused them.
"The Buzz" reported on Sunday that they received information that Soriano went abroad after failing to appear in the first barangay hearing last week.
The actress requested that the hearing be rescheduled.

MANILA, Philippines - The camp of Maricel Soriano has reached out to the 2 household workers who filed an abuse complaint against the actress.
Complainants May Cachuela and Camille Acojedo said Soriano's assistant Inday Castillo called them last July 1 offering to settle the dispute.
"Noong July 1 pa lang po, yon tumawag sa amin si Inday. Ang sabi ay kung pwedeng pag-usapan na lang po natin," Cachuela told reporters after the first barangay hearing conducted at Barangay Poblacion, Makati on Wednesday.
The first hearing was snubbed by the actress, who requested that the hearing be rescheduled.
Cachuela said Soriano's camp wants an end to the issue.
"Sabi nila, pag-usapan ang kaso para daw po matapos na," she added.
The complainants said they just want Soriano to apologize.

Maricel Soriano versus Marian Rviera

I already reacted on the comparison made by Mother Lily on the bitchiness of Marian Rivera and Maricel Soriano. There is no comparison.

Marami ang tumaas ang kilay sa tinuran ng Regal Films matriarch na si Lily Monteverde nang pagkumparahin niya sina Maricel Soriano at Marian Rivera in terms of being transparent with their thoughts and feelings. Ang klase raw kasi ng mga nasabing aktres ang nagpapakatotoo lang sa kanilang mga sarili, kaya madalas ma-misinterpret.

Sa isang banda raw ay tama si Mother Lily, pero ang katarayan daw should not be generally regarded. Cute daw kasi ang estilo ng pagtataray ni Maricel, samantalang bordering on kabastusan naman daw ang kay Marian, kaya there’s no point of comparison.

And I agree. ’Di hamak na mas kulturada ang babaeng ‘hinugot sa langit’ kesa sa ‘babaeng hinugot sa tadyang’!

Maricel Soriano

Maricel Soriano (born Maria Cecilia Dador Soriano on February 25, 1965), is a popular Filipina film and television actress. Dubbed as the Diamond Star of Philippine movies, she started acting at the age of six with the 1971 flick My Heart Belongs to Daddy with fellow child actress Snooky Serna. In 1974, she received her first award as Best Child Actress at the age of nine at the 9th Manila Film Festival for Virgo Film's Alaala mo, Daigdig ko (Your Memory is My World). She won her second acting award at the 1974 Ilo-ilo Film Festival for the movie version of the TV sitcom John En Marsha which later became the longest running Philippine Sitcom. Maricel developed her comic skills under the aegis of the Philippine King of Comedy, Dolphy and the late Nida Blanca, one of the country's top caliber actors, both of whom she considered as second parents.

In the 80's she was launched to full stardom as one of the Regal Babies with then-archrival Snooky Serna, Dina Bonnevie, Gabby Concepcion, Albert Martinez, Alfie Anido, Jimi Melendez, and her loveteam and one-time boyfriend, William Martinez. She became known as 'Taray Queen' for her comedic antics on films which amused Filipino audiences. Excelling both in drama and comedy, she has collected a number of awards most notable of which are the two Asian TV Awards as Best Comedy Actress, and two FAP awards, two FAMAS and two PMPC Star Awards for her drama performances. She has appeared in 83 films and has scored a number of blockbuster hits.

She has tried singing as well and has recorded a few songs including the theme song of her movie Oh My Mama in 1981 and a sold out concert at the Araneta Coliseum titled Hello, Hello Maricel in 1987.
