Magtutuluy-tuloy na sa korte ang P7-million damage suit na isinampa ng SVP for Entertainment TV ng GMA-7 na si Wilma Galvante laban sa talent manager na si Annabelle Rama. Ito ay matapos na hindi nagkaayos ang dalawang kampo sa ginanap na mediation hearing sa Quezon City Hall of Justice noong Biyernes, August 28.

Matatandaang isinampa ni Galvante ang civil case laban kay Rama noong March 17 sa Quezon City Regional Trial Court.

Tahimik na nagsampa ng kaso si Ms. Wilma sa Quezon City Regional Trial Court noong March 17. Sa kanyang 40-pages civil complaint, isinalaysay ng GMA executive ang mga pananakot diumano ni Annabelle sa kanya sa pamamagitan ng media interviews at text messages.

Hiniling ni Ms. Wilma sa korte na pigilan si Annabelle Rama sa pananakot sa kanya at maglabas ng restraining order para hindi makalapit si Rama, within 50 meters, alang-alang sa kaligtasan niya.

Ruffa Gutierrez explained about her crying issue

Last week, Ruffa Gutierrez feigned illness after shedding tears while talking to someone on her cell phone. She remarked that only a true love can make her cry which made the media speculted that it was about John Lloyd Cruz.

Ruffa explained that it was her ex-husband who caused her to cry. Ows?

When TV host-actress Ruffa Gutierrez was observed all red-eyed from crying on the set of her show “Ruffa and Ai” last week, not a few tongues wagged in trying to guess who might have caused her crying fit.

According to reports, Ruffa was seen crying while talking to an unidentified person on her mobile just as she emerged from her dressing room.

When coaxed for an explanation, Ruffa merely said she was sick “having a cold and cough, have been sneezing…[maybe] allergies.”

Eventually, Ruffa revealed on “The Buzz” the real reason behind the tears.

According to the former beauty queen, she cried because her kids had been asking for their daddy—Turkish millionaire Yilmaz Bektaz.

“My kids are asking…looking for their dad…asking me when he will visit them so, for me, you know even if Yilmaz and I are over—it’s been two and a half years—for me, the pain is still there.

“You know, my kids are looking for him…It's family, it's very personal…so, I really don’t want to talk about it and to let the world to know but… I don’t want the [crying] issue to be discussed about further.”

Ruffa added that it was her daughter, Venice—who will celebrate her birthday on Sept. 11-- who had been asking for her “Baba” [Venice’s term of endearment for Yilmaz].

“Her birthday is coming up so, she was telling me, 'Mommy, when is Baba gonna come and visit us?’ And I just keep telling her, 'Well, maybe soon… you know, he's working.'

“Then she said. 'How soon? Maybe in September?' and I said, 'Yeah, that's next month already. Maybe, I'll ask Baba. Maybe he'll come and visit you.'”

Ruffa Mae Quinto said the house is hers

Sexy comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto pooh-poohed a report about her not owning the house she claimed to have bought in the U.S.

A certain Joseph Canlas sent an e–mail message to “Showbiz News Ngayon” blasting Rufa Mae’s claim that she owns a single detached townhouse in the US worth P30 million.

The house, Canlas claims, belongs to a certain Paul Hizon and that Rufa Mae was just a guest when she went there recently.

“Kung kailangan ko ipakita ang papeles…,” an obviously pissed off Rufa Mae began in an “SNN” interview aired Aug. 27.

“Hindi ko naman siya [Canlas] kilala, eh. Sa totoo lang, madali namang mag-imbento. [At kung] maniwala [man] sila o hindi, okay lang naman, ‘di ba?.. Ang importante meron [akong bahay dun] at ang friends ko, welcome doon mag-stay. May guest room [at] walang nakatira doon,” she said.

Later, Rufa Mae was no longer able to hold back her anger.

“Sa akin, nakakatawa lang po talaga ‘yan. Wala akong masabi. Kung sino man siya, ang kapal niya! Panindigan na lang niya kung ano ine-mail niya.”

The “SNN” interview also delved into Rufa Mae’s colorful love life. She admits she is already engaged to be married.

“Noong [month of] May pa,” the comedienne said. “I’m settling down, definitely.”

In a previous interview, Rufa Mae denied that her boyfriend is a politician. The guy, she said, is somebody she knew when she was still in her teens. She calls him her “soul mate”.

Ara Mina denied the news about Manny Pacquiao

The news about Manny Pacquaio and Ara Mina took a back seat after Pacquiao's latest triumph in the boxing arena and the introduction of Mommy Dionisia in the showbiz world.

A few days ago news about the two being seen in a hotel was reported in the entertainment section of the dailies.

Ara Mina denied the allegations.

Multi-awarded actress Ara Mina is fed up with talks linking her to boxer Manny Pacquiao, the latest of which is their alleged tryst at a five-story hotel in Malate, Manila.

Miss Venezuela, Stefania Fernandez, won the Miss Universe 2009 beauty pageant held in Nassau, Bahamas.


She`was crowned by tge outgoing Miss Universe who also hailed from Venezuela.

Dressed in a red gown, she stood out of the semi-finalists and out of the five finalists who were judged by 12 people coming from cross sector of business, movie and fashion industries.

Vandolph, bumait na raw

Dolphy is at it again, defending his son from the allegation that he was involved in gun-toting during a traffic alterction.

Vandolph, the son of the King of Comedy, Dolphy to Alma Moreno who got hitched with governor early this year, was reported to have an argument with a man who cut him off in the traffic.

Comedy King Dolphy defended his son Vandolph from a recent allegation that he was involved in a gun-toting incident due to a traffic altercation.

“Hindi totoo ‘yon. Unang-una, walang nagrereklamo. Ang tagal-tagal na niyan. Puro mali ang detalye. Naka-Ford daw, eh, hindi naman Ford [kundi] Montero and auto niya [Vandolph]. According to a report, Vandolph got into an argument with a motorcycle-riding man who drove in front of his car to cut him off.

Vandolph allegedly chased the guy, challenged him to a fight and reportedly wielded an unlicensed gun.

Vandolph denied the accusation during Dr. Manny Calayan’s birthday party.

“Basta, ayoko munang magsalita,” Vandolph told an "SNN" reporter. "Lahat naman ng kaso na dawit ang pangalan ko, hinarap ko. Hindi ko nga alam kung sinong Vandolph ‘to [na tinutukoy nila]."

Dolphy believe the guy could have been Vandolph’s look-alike.

“Baka look-alike lang, ginamit lang ‘yong pangalan niya [Vandolph],” he said.

Dolphy expressed indignation over the person who wrote the "report."

Gabby Concepcion is returning to the United States if

Gabby Concepcion said that he is returning to the United States if his showbiz career would not improve.

So far he said that his case with Rose Flaminiano is already closed which was denied by his former talent manager.

Early this year, he was released from his committment with GMA 7 so that he can make the movie in Star Cinema, his home network. His dream of having a movie with former wife Sharon Cuneta is far from realization because time and again, the megastar would not agree to such a project.

MANILA, Philippines – Gabby Concepcion has been “released” by the film outfit of a television network from the movie contract he signed with the network in 2008, the actor announced recently.

Also, Gabby said, the court case his estranged talent manager Rose Flaminiano filed against him was now a “closed book.” He has signed a two-year contract with ABS-CBN, he told Inquirer Entertainment.

“I’m really grateful. The GMA 7 bosses... could have frozen my career but they decided to simply let me go,” he noted.

GMA 7 VP for Program Management Joey Abacan on Wednesday confirmed Gabby’s release. “No doors were closed. We can still embark on future projects,” he told Inquirer by phone.

Gabby’s contract with ABS-CBN will have him working on a movie by Star Cinema, for release in December 2009. He will also be seen in the drama series “Dahil May Isang Ikaw,” which premieres August 24.

Asked to comment on the controversy surrounding his relationship with Flaminiano, Gabby said: “I don’t publicize my [legal] victories against her. We all have to move on. Enough with the hurting.”

But Flaminiano said the P22-M damage suit she filed in September 2008 against Gabby was “ongoing.”

“I don't know what Gabby meant by ‘closed book.’ He was probably talking about our misunderstanding last year,” she said. “But neither of us wanted any of this to happen. Deep inside, mahal
namin ang isa’t isa. Napaglaruan lang kami ng mga pangyayari [we love each other. The situation played tricks on us]. I also want this nightmare to end.”

While he looks for a new manager, the actor

Kristine Hermosa is acting prima donna?

What is this news about Kristine Hermosa that she is acting like prima donna? Is she insecure with Lorna Tolentino? Does she want to enjoy the same privileges accorded to an awarding and veteran actress.

Actress Kristine Hermosa is reportedly acting like a primmadonna on the set of her latest soap, "Dahil May Isang Ikaw," by asking for shortened work hours akin to her co-star Lorna Tolentino.

Lorna works only up to 10 p.m. as approved by the ABS-CBN management.

Kristine is also said to dislike taping at several locations for the soap.

Rumors abound that Kristine is thinking of not reporting to work until she is given the same privileges as Lorna's.

And although the production staff of "Dahil May Isang Ikaw" didn't agree to her demands, they still relayed them to ABS CBN management who promptly turned them down.

More, the ABS-CBN management reportedly threatened to sue Kristine if she does not report to work.

Kris Aquino is havingthe parents' house renovated

Kris Qquino will be spending a fortune to demolish the house and rebuilt for her brother Noynoy who was reported to have inherited the house by deed of donation.

The bachelor brother of Kris Aquino is requesting two rooms only and a meeting room.

According to the interview of Kris Aquino in the Showbiz News Ngayon last August 10.
a bigger residence will be built to provide rooms for her two sons, Josh and Baby James.

Josh will also be needing playroom and tutorial room and a pool.

The popular TV host of Wowowee is the subject of petition for his percieved arrogance in stopping the live-stream of the corgete of former President Cory Aquino.

According to the news, more than 1,800 wre already gathered to oust Revillame from housting the noontime show.

The actual statements of Willie are the following:

"Pangit! Hindi ho maganda sa atin. Nagsasalita [ako], ipinapakita yung kabaong ni Tita Cory, hindi ba? Papano kami makapagsasaya?”

The petition is worded as follows:

It read in part: “…bad taste for ABS-CBN to show a snippet of the funeral on Wowowee, but it was worse for Revillame to react that way. Willie has chosen to let the contestant dance instead of cutting short her act and give way to the coverage of the cortege. Willie has chosen to blurt out his rude comments on-air instead of [doing it] off-cam. In short, Willie chose to have fun instead of giving way to the funeral of Pres. Corazon Aquino…that was not a good example to [show] our youth today.”
