In 2021, a resistance group of humans, led by former military officer Crisval (Revilla), defends a “recycled” sanctuary called Paraiso against aliens. Director Reyes says that “40 percent of the film is CGI (computer-generated imagery).” He asserts that he came up with the concept for this sci-fi flick “long before there was news about ‘Transformers.’” Dave Hukom of Ignite insists that “the movie’s robots are products of Pinoy ingenuity and resilience.” Reyes recalls: “I made a 10-minute pitch tape and, after Sen. Bong saw it, he wanted to do it immediately.” Says Hukom: “There are definitely more effects than ‘Exodus’ (Revilla’s last MMFF movie).”
