Redfrod White Dies at 54



He was one of the low key comedians. Redford White died this Sunday Morning (July 25) due to brain and lung cancer.

Redford White was Cipriano Cermeno in real life.  He  appeared in a number of TV sitcoms.

MANILA, Philippines—After a lingering battle with brain and lung cancer, Redford White, or Cipriano M. Cermeno II, passed away this Sunday morning. He was 54.
Director Wenn Deramas, who worked with White on his last TV show "Kokey," recalled that the comedian was always "quiet, reading books on the set."
Frequent TV and movie co-star Ces Quesada described the late comic as a "professional, a wonderful co-actor, and a generous collaborator."
Quesada worked with White on the TV sitcom "Buddy en Sol" for five years.
The "Buddy en Sol" family, led by co-stars Quesada and Eric Quizon and director Boots Plata, visited White in his home last week.
Film Academy of the Philippines head and fellow comedian Leo Martinez visited White last Tuesday.
"He seemed prepared to go," Martinez said
"He was in high spirits and we kept laughing, but it was also painful because we knew it was the last time we would see him," said Quesada.
According to Quesada, the wake will be held at his home, near the Sto. Nino de Maligaya Shrine in Novaliches.
