Prospero Luna died at 79

Prospero Luna, a Filipino actor-comedian immigrant in the United States died last July 23, 2010.

MANILA, Philippines - Veteran actor-comedian Prospero Luna passed away after suffering a stroke in the United States last July 23. He was 79.
Reports said that the actor's remains lay in state at Funeraria Nacional in Quezon City.
Luna, considered one of the best character actors during the 60s, was known for his long-running role in the popular TV series "Buhay Artista."
His hit films were "Swinging Jet–Age," "Gigolo–Gigolet–Nagkagulo–Nagkagalit" and "Buhay Bombero."
He was also part of Dolphy's comedy film "Dr. Yes."
Luna, who migrated to Oroville, California, was featured in US indie comedy film "Corky's Hot Ice" in 2008.
The actor's last television appearance was in ABS-CBN's “Maalaala Mo Kaya” last year. The MMK episode titled "Cap" was one of the 5 anniversary episodes of MMK.
Three of the special episodes, including "Cap," were shot in the US.
