Regal declares this year’s “Shake” trilogy as the “scariest and most expensive” to date. Its producer claims it does not only have the biggest stars from giant networks ABS-CBN and GMA 7, it also has the “most impressive horror visuals and most difficult to mount scenes in cinema history.”
“Christmas Tree”

In the story, Poe’s father has passed away. She and the rest of her family visit relatives out of town, one of whom is Prats, whose home has a big, eerie-looking 8-ft. Christmas tree that, at night, turns into a giant monster with arms and legs.
“Bangungot”
Stars: Dennis Trillo, Roxanne Guinoo and Pauleen Luna
Directed by Mike Tuviera
In this episode, a red-cloaked figure is after Guinoo, who unwittingly cast a spell just so she could dream of the man she’s in love with—Trillo. A flyover in Manila was closed to shoot a thrilling chase between the red-cloaked Bangungot and the protagonists.
“Engkanto”
Stars: Katrina Halili, Matt Evans, Melissa Ricks, Mart Escudero, Jewel Mische, Felix Roco and Sam Concepcion
Directed by Topel Lee
Halili, who plays the “Engkanto,” is out to scare a band of musicians vacationing at a beach resort situated several miles away from Metro Manila. For this episode, countless talents were recruited, each was fitted with zombie costumes and made to wear prosthetics.
